Guide
The AI says it fixed it, but it's still broken
You describe the bug. The AI says "Fixed!" It isn't. You ask again. It changes something else, and now a page that worked is broken too. Twenty messages later you're further from working than when you started, and you've burned credits.
This is the most common complaint in every AI-builder community, and it isn't your fault.
Why it happens
- It fixes the symptom, not the cause. "The button doesn't work" can have ten causes. Without the real error, the AI guesses, and each guess changes code.
- It can't see what your customer sees. It reads code and assumes; it doesn't run your live app.
- Every change risks something else. A guess that touches shared code breaks pages you didn't mention.
- "Fixed" means "I changed code", not "I checked it works".
Break the loop
- Stop and go back. Use your builder's version history to return to the last version that worked. You won't fix a pile of guesses with more guesses.
- Get the real error. Reproduce the bug with the browser console open (F12 → Console). Copy the first red error.
- Ask for the cause first, not the fix: "Here is the exact error: [paste]. Explain the cause in two sentences. Don't change any code yet."
- Then ask for one small change: "Fix only that cause. Don't touch anything else."
- Check it yourself in the live app, including one page that already worked, before the next request.
When you're done looping
Paste your app's link at vibe-fixer.com: an AI agent opens the live app like a first customer, finds what's actually broken, and tells you how many problems it finds, before anything is changed. Free, no account.
Still stuck?
Paste your app’s link for a free test — no account. Your AI agent goes through it like a first customer, shows you what breaks, then fixes it while you watch.
