Guide

Who can fix my vibe-coded app? Your options and prices in 2026

Short answer: you have five options. Fix it yourself with your builder's AI (cheapest, if you know exactly what's broken). Hire a freelancer on a marketplace (flexible, quality varies). Pay a rescue service that specializes in AI-built apps (from about $50 for one task to several thousand for a full rescue). Use your builder's own testing (it checks the preview). Or get an independent check of your live app first, so whoever fixes it knows exactly what's broken.

Prices below are as each service publishes them on its own site, checked on 4 October 2026. We're one of the options (VibeFix), and we've tried to describe everyone, including us, fairly. If a price has changed, tell us and we'll update it.

First: know what's actually broken

Every option below is cheaper and faster when you can say exactly what fails. When people pasted their own live apps into our free test (28 apps, 27 September to 3 October 2026), 26 of the 28 had a problem a first customer would hit: sign-ups that never confirmed, shops where nothing could be bought, private data anyone could open.

So before you pay anyone, write down: what you did, what you expected, what happened, on the live site, plus the exact error if there is one. (How to test your live app like a real customer)

Option 1: Fix it yourself with your builder's AI

Cost: your plan's credits. Good for: one clear problem you can describe precisely. Watch out for: loops where the AI says "fixed" and it isn't, and spends credits each time.

Paste this, one problem at a time:

On my LIVE site (not the preview): [what I did] → [what happened]. I expected [what I expected]. The exact error is: [paste]. Explain the cause in two sentences without changing code. Then fix only that cause and tell me how to check it on the live site.

If you've already looped three times, stop and read The AI says it fixed it, but it's still broken.

Option 2: Hire a freelancer on a marketplace

Good for: a specific fix when you can judge reviews and describe the job well. Watch out for: very different skill levels, and you usually have to give them access to your code or builder account.

Option 3: Pay a rescue service that specializes in AI-built apps

Good for: someone hands-on who takes responsibility for the fix. Watch out for: most need access to your code or builder account. Check what they promise if it doesn't work.

Option 4: Your builder's own testing

Lovable (browser testing), Replit (Agent app testing) and Base44 (testing agent) can now click through your app and fix what they find. It's built in and costs plan credits. By their own docs, it runs on the preview or a separate test copy, not on your live published app, and it's the builder checking its own work. It's a good first pass, and it won't catch problems that only exist on the live site.

Option 5: An independent check of your live app (VibeFix)

What it is: an AI agent that didn't build your app opens the live version on a phone and a computer, signs up with a real inbox, does the main thing your app is for, goes to checkout, and tells you what a first customer would hit. For each problem it writes the exact fix as a prompt for your own builder, and after you paste it, it re-tests the live app to show whether it's fixed. It works whatever you built the app with, and it never signs in to your builder.

Cost: the test is free, with no account and no access to your code or builder, and so is the fix prompt for one problem, with its re-test. The prompts for every problem in the report are $10 one-time. Monthly plans from $19 add re-checks and hands-on fixes (pricing). Pasting a prompt uses your builder's own credits, as any request to it does.

Good for: knowing exactly what's broken before you pay anyone else, a second opinion when your AI keeps saying "fixed", and (on a plan) a re-check after you publish. Not for: building new features, or long hands-on work in your code. For that, a rescue service or a freelancer is the better fit.

Questions people ask

How much does it cost to fix a vibe-coded app?

From free (your own builder's AI) to about $50–$300 for one fix from a specialist, to $1,000–$7,500 for a full rescue, by the prices published above.

Do I have to give someone my code?

Most freelancers and rescue services need access to your code or builder account. A live-app test doesn't. It uses your app the way a customer does.

Can my builder's AI test my app for me?

Lovable, Replit and Base44 now test the preview or a test copy. Your customers use the live app, and that's where sign-up emails, live payments and real phones come in.

What should I send whoever fixes it?

The live link, one sentence per problem (what you did, what you expected, what happened), the exact error text, and screenshots.

Find out what's broken before you pay anyone: paste your app's link at vibe-fixer.com. Test your live app free, get the exact fix for one problem to paste into your own builder, also free, then re-test the live app to prove it worked.
